As one of this evening’s official Met Gala cohosts, Zendaya was bound to deliver a memorable fashion moment on the red carpet and the A list star certainly didn’t disappoint. Styled by Law Roach, the actor wore not one but two striking ensembles this evening. For her first walk up the Met steps, Zendaya wore an ocean blue gown by Maison Margiela’s John Galliano that included a matching dramatic headpiece (by Stephen Jones for Margiela). The haute couture ensemble was composed of a sage lamé and organza bias-cut dress worn over a duchesse satin corset. The dress also featured bands of hand-painted metallic crin, iridescent organza, and a hand-embroidered corsage. It was a fitting choice for this year’s Garden of Time dress code, which encouraged guests to slip into thematic fashions that paid tribute to the natural world.
